Fresh mint and frothy shakes are at the top of our list of summer loves—so we’ve put them together to create this blend of pure, nutrient-dense goodness.
We’re using cacao (chocolate in its raw, unprocessed form), banana for added creaminess, and fresh Mojito mint from the garden. For just a touch of sweetness, we’ve added Medjool dates (although pure maple syrup or raw honey will work in a pinch).
The result is an indulgent, minty shake packed with antioxidants, iron and magnesium, all of which boost your immune system and cell health by enhancing the body’s ability to absorb nutrients.
Cacao mint shake
1 1/2 cups almond milk (Sea Salt + Honey)
1/2 banana (frozen in chunks)
3 Medjool dates (pitted)
1 Tablespoon raw cacao powder
2 Tablespoons cacao nibs
A few sprigs of fresh mint (about 15 leaves)
Combine all ingredients in a blender except for the cacao nibs and blend until smooth. Add in the cacao nibs and pulse a few times. Pour into glasses and enjoy. Serves one or two.
