Having fresh, organic almond milk continuously stocked in our refrigerator has dramatically changed the way we feel about mornings. Solo, it offers a beautifully balanced combination of minerals, phytonutrients, fiber and protein. Paired with a dark leafy green (like kale) and a vibrant superfood (like hemp) we can’t help but feel unstoppable. Creamy, bright and not too sweet, this recipe is one of our favorites.
Kale, hemp + lime smoothie
1 cup curly kale (chopped)
1 cup baby spinach
3/4 cup almond milk (Pure or Sea Salt + Honey)
3/4 cup frozen mango
1 Tablespoon hemp seeds
1/2 lime (peeled)
Measure kale, spinach and almond milk into blender pitcher. Blend until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and blend again until smooth. If needed, add another splash of almond milk to reach desired consistency. Serves one.
